Winnipeg Groups for Newcomers
All Mosaic family programs are specially designed to meet the needs of newcomer participants. We offer language and cultural support, and quality child care. All of our programs are free. The program aims to encourage sharing and learning together. Participants also get to meet with newcomer parents and talk about being a parent in Canada. This is also a way for each parents to practice their English language skills through conversation circles. About Nobody’s Perfect Manitoba

NPP Manitoba is funded by Healthy Child Manitoba. Provincial coordination of Nobody’s Perfect is the responsibility of a part-time coordinator with support and guidance from a Steering Committee. (Terms of Reference). The Steering committee meets 5 times a year usually in September, November, February, April and June. If you would like to attend a meeting or become involved, please contact the Coordinator. We’d love to have you! Next meeting: September / October (TBA)  2017 at 1:00 pm at Youville Centre 33 Marion Street. Winnipeg, MB All are welcome! Youville Centre Inc. administers the Provincial office at the Diabetes Education site at 33 Marion Street in Winnipeg. The Coordinator sits on Youville’s Family Health Team.

The Nobody’s Perfect facilitator training is for those with some previous experience and/or education in facilitating groups, in child development and working with families. Applicants should be comfortable with the basic principles of adult education, currently employed with a family support organization and should be passionate about supporting families who may be facing life’s challenging circumstances.
